June 20, 2025: Jupiter is eating now a little on his own but the vet is helping him get a good amount of the nutrition and calories he needs to get better.
Jupiter is beginning to clean himself again but he has a lot of necrotic tissue on his underbelly and he is too weak to perform surgery to remove dead tissue so we are again, practicing ...
Patience and Persistence.
But look at this face!
The support from our community has been overwhelming in the best of ways. Thank you!
July 18, 2025: Today is a lil sad. Jupiter is having issues relieving his bladder. We have expected set backs as he began to heal. This is a critical one.
His lower extremities were greatly impacted by the neglect/abuse he suffered and we are witnessing those complications now.
As he heals, new obstacles arise. It's expected but our hearts break nonetheless. We have avoided that cone of protection but its going on today, his bladder must be manually squeezed to help give him relief. If he is able to get catheterization then we will do so.
We remind everyone that we will take a slow patient road to provide a less stressful, non-invasive recovery for this sweet boy. He has been through so much prior to his arrival.
So prayer, good juju and some hope ... Jupiter needs all we can muster up.
It's been a rough road this year for so many kitties and Jupiter serves us and all a reminder of both how cruel people can be but also how good can overcome evil.
He is resilient. No animal should ever suffer like he did. He now is getting the love that heals what it can and no matter the outcome that love embraces him and heals him beyond the physical.
Thank you all for keeping up with his story even when we are in the hardest parts of telling it.
July 25, 2025: Today is the day our sweet Jupiter is heading to surgery. Look at this face. Nothing but grace and pure hope.
